Craig believes that building a culture of leadership starts with those at the top – the drivers of the vision. Over a span of fourteen years in the financial services industry, Craig has concentrated on the craft of management, coupled with a passion for the financial services industry.
He draws on a career that has taken him to the apex of the international finance industry, as far as the Middle East and Asia, and to some of the top positions in the financial world.
Born in Zimbabwe, junior-schooled in Melbourne, Australia, and educated at Kwazulu Natal’s Michaelhouse, throughout his journey Craig has carried with him the principles of leadership. From his early days at Ernst & Young and at ABSA Bank Limited, his career has taken him to the Middle East as a Financial Adviser and to the Far East, where he was involved in Wealth Management and Offshore Investments, eventually becoming Regional Manager for Africa (Financial Advisory/Wealth Management) for one of the largest independent offshore financial consultancies.
A philanthropist at heart, Craig believes that leadership should be translated into action to uplift the community. In this respect, he is a co-founder of Signature of Hope Trust and a generous donor to various NGOs.

The financial services industry is highly regulated globally and regulation criteria differ per country. Guided by several factors, Carrick Investment Services applied intensive scrutiny in choosing our location base. We ultimately chose Mauritius. Some of the factors considered, include:
• Mauritius is highly regarded in the international investment sector. The Mauritius Financial Services Commission (FSC) was created in 2001 and operates as one of the most reliable and stringent regulatory bodies globally.
• Mauritius remains a democratic model of reference.
• Mauritius is active in approximately 50 international organisations, including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the World Trade Organisation, and has strong economic ties with its African neighbours, the European Union, India and China.
• Mauritius is one of the fastest-growing economies in Sub-Saharan Africa and is consistently ranked as the easiest country in which to do business in the region.
We are proud of the fact that Carrick Investment Services is one of the few companies to simultaneously be granted three business licences by the FSC:
